Excellent tape deck. Very good sounding, it is also a fine recorder. I prefer it over a NAD which I also own. The fine bias tuning allows for using all kind of type I and type II Ferricobalt tapes. Even the fader is handy sometimes. The display is TOP, having one of the nicest level indicators and a big digital counter.

In the 80's, for an individual it would have been rather awkward, even financially challenging to buy several decks and compare then with each other. Then again, in the 70's and 80's I did, but that's another story.
