I think that RIAA should be sued for allowing illegal content to be distributed on their computers. The site www. Licking their wounds I would imagine, and firing a few web administrators. My new computer came with a burner and software that made it capable of burning CDs. That's like giving candy to a Frickin' baby.
And then, like forementioned, themselves just for so pounding on the damn idea that they put it in peoples' heads half of the time. Their battle is uselessm because they'd have to take most of the populace of the world to court to win. The RIAA acts like a little kid that doesn't want to share its toys and doesn't understand why its big bad parents aka music fans make it. LMAO I want to shake this hackers hand and buy him a drink!!!!
It should be interesting when they do though, to read whatever LAME tm excuses they will come up with. The hack itself was awesome. Let the RIAA chew on that one for awhile. The other night i was watching a little bit on TechTV's Screensavers San Fran based high level Tech show about a site that was collecting spam from everyone. What a great idea, i thought. Who develops this crap? The more they push to take rights away from power users, the more they're get bitchslapped at every turn. The Senate approved the bill on Thursday. Because neither the House nor the Senate versions of the USA Act include either variant of the RIAA's amendment, the association's lobbyists will focus on a possible conference committee, which would be appointed to work out differences with the Senate.
Another possibility is that the Senate could enact the USA Act when senators return this week, automatically sending the bill to President Bush for his signature. Bush has asked Congress for the additional surveillance and detention powers as a response to the deadly Sept.
The text of the original RIAA amendment says that "no action may be brought under this subsection arising out of any impairment of the availability of data, a program, a system or information, resulting from measures taken by an owner of copyright in a work of authorship, or any person authorized by such owner to act on its behalf, that are intended to impede or prevent the infringement of copyright in such work by wire or electronic communication.
